Endorsement and Support for the Evangelical Catholic
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
I first became aware of the good work of The Evangelical Catholic in 2011 when I was an auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. From the very beginning, their zeal for discipleship to equip the laity to make disciples in the world impressed me.
I have continued to follow The Evangelical Catholic and have directly benefited from the continued development and expansion of their work. In particular, as I have implemented our diocesan plan of evangelization, they have been integral in helping many parishes accomplish their pastoral goals to equip every Catholic to live and share the Faith. For this reason, I have been all the more enthusiastic to help them extend their fruitful work since becoming their bishop in the Diocese of Madison.
I highly recommend The Evangelical Catholic to dioceses and parishes that ardently desire to carry out the Great Commission. The Evangelical Catholic partners with ministries very effectively to form and train lay men and women for fruitful, transformative evangelical apostolates in the world.
The Evangelical Catholic coaches local ministry leaders to foster daily habits of mental prayer, devotion to scripture, love for the sacraments, love for people, and zeal for the Good News of Jesus Christ among those to whom they are sent. I appreciate that The Evangelical Catholic does not seek merely to build Evangelical Catholic programs. Rather, by empowering lay Catholics for personal apostolates, local ministries expand their evangelical impact in the surrounding community according to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Continuing to look for avenues for further partnership, I fully support their work in the Catholic Church.
